Troops Fully Alive is in preliminary stages of planning for Trail Life USA to attend the 39th annual Chartres Pilgrimage in 2021. Officially the Pèlerinage de Chrétienté (“Pilgrimage of Christendom”), the three-day, 67-mile trek traditionally begins at daybreak of the Saturday before Pentecost on the steps of Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris and concludes with afternoon Mass at Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres on Pentecost Monday. Since Notre-Dame de Paris was greatly damaged by fire on April 15, 2019, the pilgrimage organizers are revising the route from Paris. In 2021, the official pilgrimage dates will span May 22-24, 2021. Of course, we are also considering tour options for a few days before or after the pilgrimage. Details will follow.
